Iraq News Package

Black College Wire is interested in running a package on college perspectives on the possible war with Iraq and we'd like input from as many black college campuses as possible.

If you're interested in participating, please do the reporting that would answer the questions asked below about what's happening on your campus. Then, send the file as an attachment to Betty Anne Williams at [email protected] by 10 a.m. Thursday, March 6. (202) 686-2961.

Be sure to include your name, the e-mail address that you use most often and phone numbers where you can be reached, in case of questions.

Are you starting to see events on campus in response to the possible war with Iraq? Some schools already are planning protests. Others may be holding lectures or discussions to help students become more knowledgeable about the issues surrounding U.S.-Iraq tensions. In some cases, political science departments are taking the lead. Elsewhere, there is activity generated by students or student organizations.

Tell us about any such events and how U.S. and non-U.S. citizen students feel about such a war. We also are interested in receiving photos of events.
